Pizza Ranch was born from a simple dream: to bring bold, honest pizza ranch flavor to every table in Kentwood, Michigan. In 1994, founder Dale Hartzler opened our first location on 28th Street with nothing more than a stone oven, a family recipe, and an unshakeable belief that great pizza starts with great ingredients.

The First Slice

Dale Hartzler opens the original Pizza Ranch on 28th Street in Kentwood, Michigan, with a wood-fired stone oven and a dream to serve the boldest pizza in the region.

1999

Ranch Pizza Revolution

We introduced our signature ranch pizza base — a bold, creamy alternative to traditional tomato sauce that became an instant community favorite and put Pizza Ranch on the map.

2004

Family Dining Expansion
